At a time when the world fights an unseen foe,
Everybody shares in the effects of the pain,
Whether you play victim or victor.

Do realize that many have expired.
Realize that many are on the fatal list;
Realize that some more will expire.

As it stands, the majority have not been infected,
But some more may be if they are careless.

Almost all have lost money and other resources;
About a month or more, many have not earned a dime.
Yet, spending does not abate;
What a condition!

You live today; only this day matters
Give us this day...

Directly or indirectly, you are affected;
This is the condition across the globe;
Imagine the US hit by 1,800 deaths in one day!

Think on those directly connected,
Think on Italy and other places,
Yet, you are not unaffected because humanity is affected.

Give no room to gloom;
It's no panacea to ill fortunes.
Give room for gratitude;
Find light in this darkness.

Permit no conspiracy thoughts;
Let nothing you don't understand rule you;
Ignorance and misinformation kills faster than the virus.

Your original vision about yourself remains valid.
Stay focused on it, however gloomy it seems;
If you had none, find one and pursue it vigorously.

Beyond this time, there is life abundantly.
I will see it!
This much I can tell about myself.
What can you tell about yourself?

Say it now!
It will stand the test of time;
If you believe.

Show gratitude.
Be thankful.
This holds a yet to be unravelled bliss.

"Mr Joseph Ayeni's book is a well researched compendium that addresses several, but salient subjects that can significantly enhance human dignity, success and fulfilment."
